bmw 320 advice?

lads went to dublin today to check out this bmw for a friend. things ive noticed were a slight pull on the steering to left side also small vibration from front right wheel! small crack in the corner of the headlamp and Im not sure about this one but when i opened the boot i noticed on one side just under the rubber seal there was like a patch like rough sealer and was sprayed over???

now the man seems ok hes from Azerbaijan and it is his fathers car. he claims its the best there is and was never crashed or anythin but im just not 100% as its for a girl friend and she would be pissed if i made her buy a shitbox!!! he also replaced the front right wishbone for nct and lots of bushes,links etc...now apart from that its in prestine condition,engine and gearbox are very smooth and good pull from turbo,not a sign of any smoke!!!

anyway heres the link let me kno what yous think cus shes mad to get a car monday and doesnt really care about the things ive spotted but will only buy if i say so!!!shes got 4500k to spend so mite shop around in the meantime!

I dunno about what you've mentioned but isn't that 320D meant to be a pig of an engine? Very troublesome?
 
Think about it-wpould BMW let a car with rough sealer and bad paint out of the factory? No they wouldn't so obviously its
been tipped and owner is saying its not-so what else is he lying about...mileage??? Plus 320d is an absolute bag of SH1TE-it'll break her heard with suspension links and bushings and turbos let go regularly. Tell her to buy a petrol accord or mazda 6.
 
I've had a few bmw's now and I think u be mad to go for one.. Notin but trouble and I'm not joking when I say NOTING BUT TOUBLE !! Stay away unless deep pockets!!
 
first question is how many miles does she intend to do a year?

its all good and well saving e10 a week on fuel.

but if a injector or diesel pump costing repair outweighs the fuel saving cost then get petrol.
 
Sounds as if its been crashed... Again if your asking this, sounds like you probably think that yourself already. Ive had 1 and they give a lot of trouble, constantly spending money on it.. Be prepared because BMW stands for Bring More Wonga !!! :whistle:
 
She wont be doin a whole lot of driving but doin a bit, theres no talkin to het she wants a 320 so ill do what I can. Goin to look at on tomorrow in dublin 03 looks fairly mint only 73000 miled matute owner only got nc ttill oct 2014 and just replaced rear brake shoes and pads and also new genuine desiel pump only done.wel see wat happnes tomorow lookin for 5000!!
 
Turbo's every 80k miles in the 320d. Be careful. That passat looks a clean car. If its an english car there is probably a good history with it.

great clean car and drives really well, the only thing was the rear passenger quarter panel was resprayed! looks like it was just a very light cosmetic damage but bad spray job, but everything else intact. all round good car, she handed over 4750 for it which broke my heart cus all I was thinkin was if I only had that!! I could get someting decent!!!
