boost ???

boost pressure,,,,,what does 23.5 psi translate to in "bar" measurements as i think im overboosting




about 1.4 ish

It's roughly 14 psi per 1.0 bar of boost.

Is that the peak boost like does it hold that or drop back as you go up the revs?

am mapped to 1.4 bar . seems to be getting spikes of 23.5 psi under heavy load . and am concerned .

14.7 psi in a bar from memory.

So about 1.6 bar.

Although can be gauge. What was it reading before?

tbh i cant remember dave , went on a back road spin the other night and noticed on heavy load the boost gauge flashing/warning and on checking max it read 23.5 in psi's .

If the reading on the same gauge has changed, then you must be getting a spike from something. Last time i had a spike on the legacy, the boost solenoid was sticking but that was an aftermarket perrin job, not a subaru item.

Have you changed anything or done any work recently?

I'm sure it was doing that last august when you brought me for a spin in it at a meet, it was spiking under high load and dropping back for definite man, might be just a litte worse now with the warnings coming on

now that i think of it ,yeah robbie pipe was changed at t-junction recently as boost gauge stopped working . possibly worth investigating .

@baz didnt think i had them in that far back ,and also didnt think it was abnormal back then . but ive the memory of a goldfish !
