Boy racer' Subaru drivers make fewest claims

Maybe time to forward that to all Irish insurance companies?

Article alleges we claim less due to being in 30-40s... and not sure that adds up as where does that leave Toyota Avensis drivers, Passats etc... I would say they have a similar age demographic...

How about we care about driving and see it as a pleasure and a thing to focus on, as opposed to attitude that a car is only to get you from A to B so who cares how you drive... hence we pay more attention... we have above average driving skills because we pay attention and care about the process of driving? -and that is why we claim less because we crash less?

Opinions? :anyone:

Age has very little to do with it, being a driver and being able to drive is a far cry from some of the gobshites on the road. Good to see the stat but means very little a lot of other fast makes not included. Your either a good driver, or your just a passenger in the drivers seat.

Also have to factor in geographic factors. People in the city are far more likely to claim and far less likely to own a Subaru. Nothing to do with driving standards simple maths.....More cars more accidents

People avoid squishing their Scoobies in public!

And the Fiat and Smart coming in second/third are PROBABLY because you're too embarassed to say, "I was rear-ended by a Panda." or ever claim, "The Four-Two hit me first!"
