looking to change my flexi brake lines for braided ones but cant get them off at the joint tries wd40 on them but no good anyone any ideas . if i force them i'll end up snapping them?

Is it the nut joe or have you got that open

They can be very tight them nuts but I've never broke one and I've done a few cars

I held the flexi line at the joint with a vise grip and then obviously a spanner to open

yes where the flexi pipe meets the steel pipe on the body had a vice grip on the flexi and the corners rung on the nut with the spanner on it didnt want to force it any more would impreza steel lines fit if i ring it off

What about two vise grips joe

Or a little nick to try tighten them first and brake the seal

They can be a pig

if what johnny said doesn't work you may need to replace the steel line with a copper replacement

cheers lads will try them tomorrow again wil leave them soaking overnite . will get messy that way dec unless i can get them made

ah its not too bad joe just running them in to the abs pump or the nearest joint can be a pain a roll of copper pipr is about 20 -25 quid and I can get ya a tool to make them or remove the old pipe and bring to any garage and they should be able to make ya one

+1 for the above. I've a set of brake pipe spanners. Won't ring them and I've never had issues snapping seized nuts with them
