thanks for your help lads on the above, just to let anyone know it seems that the radio reception problem was the head unit itself , i changed it for a sony , worked out well as now have hands free thanks to bluetooth, don,t need an ear piece or mic ,just leave phone in pocket and
yap away . bad radio was pioneer deh-50ub. 199 euro no radio recp. watch out for it .
anyway thanks again guys.
glad ye got it sorted.......a decent radio is a must in any car. a mate of mine got a double din with blue tooth and as soon as he sits into the car it recognises the phone and away he goes
