brembos or discs and pads

I'm not sure which route to go as i want to upgrade brakes as i don't find them very good at the min no confidence in them. i'm thinking off getting a set of brembos or a good set discs and pads EBC YELLOWS or DS2500 for a set off 4 pots with braided lines for both .
Which would you recommend ?

Brembos and sell your own 4 pots . As by time you put discs and pads front and back you.ll be in nearly 300/400 if you can get a good set of brembos for handy money That's what I.d do

Ye but joe the brembo could need discs and pads also! If they do it would get expensive. If the cars not goin to be tracked brembo are pointless a good disc pad combo be grand and also less expensive imo

i think i'm leaning towards brembos providing i get a set with good discs/pads haven't seen any around really.
4 pots discs and good pads is 300-350 odd that's just for fronts

I found the biggest improvement to my brakes was the bf Goodridge lines

If i was you id put fresh 5.1 fluid in and get yellow stuff pads (on special in mtec brakes) be cheaper & I'm very happy with performance

And see how you go alot of the brembos out there will defo need disks what are you current disks like much of a lip on them?

just checked mtech there not bad prices , discs aren't reusable when i got the car checked out before buying i was told by the mechanic that there was more wear on one disc so i hope the calipers aren't starting to stick :banghead

True dec most need discs and pads which will be another 300/350 so not that cheap

Have you priced brembos ?
Most 450-500sterling for fronts only plus 150-200€ for discs , plus pads 30-250€

Plus you may need to change your wheels to clear them .

Refurbish your caliper seals and fresh discs and pads and you will be happy

I may be having a front brembo soon for sale. but will know for sure in the next 2 weeks

Seen a few on scoobynet pricey alright work out 600 odd euro shipped as mention above could end up needing discs/ pads, ill keep and eye out hopefully a good set off brembos pop up if not ill go discs/pad route and refurbish my calipers.
Car sits on 18's so no prob fitting brembos

that godspeed kit is a bit pricey

It is but I have been told it is a great upgrade
Maybe someone knows for sure how good it is vs brembos
Any upgrade to your brakes won't be cheap
Whatever route you choose

Ye true just want to spend the cash the right way

That upgrade is unless bigger discs bigger pads Same size Pistons. seen 2 cars with that up grade and both had Only the outside of the disc clean As there was no pressure being applyed in the inside of the disc as the pads were out past the Pistons . Save your money

It's the offset that you need to worry about not the size , standard wheel for brembo is a 17 with and et53 to clear the caliper , most Subaru wheels are et 48
