anybody on here built one or had one converted by a company that they would recommend.

Basically looking to build a race van a such, something I can fit 2 bike/karts and sleep 3. Looking to build something lets say in the decent end of conversions. I picked up my van the other day, a long wheel base crafter 2007, very clean.

Now a nice job aint cheap, but weighing up options of paying a company do it start finish or tackle it myself, Hiring professionals when needed which really is only the cabinet maker.

any experience on here?

My mate had his long wheel sprinter done a good few years ago for enduro.
Savage job by a coach builder up north.

Was quite expensive but they did the lot for him.

He built 2, the first was shite and sold it, 2nd was tidy but took months build and cost was high, think he spent bout 6k and wasn finished,

sold it on then, what was the name that place graham, so far uk seems be place get it done

if you are going to register it as a campervan or change the log book you will have to pay the vrt 17% i think.

Might be worth giving Brian in Happy Campers a ring. They mainly do vw t4 van conversions but id say they would do any type. Some of their conversions have won best van prizes at vw shows in uk. They ard based in wexford and are a sound bunch. http://happycampers.ie
