car mapped

hahahaha evoman no i didnt fill it with diesel,dats funny. Thanks lads and ya sorry its 347nm torque.Car was mapped by martin tracey in westward and it hasnt missed a beat since in fairness.And is now mapped safe on 95ron.I suppose you guys are right I havent got alot of mods so was prob exspecting too much out of the map.Dont get me wrong it still goes well but I suppose im comparing it to a pulsar gtir i had before mapped at 1.2bar before and that seemed way quicker.He did say it was bit low on coolant and he didnt want to push it very hard but theres no external leaks.I think i might go for bigger turbo and boost controller next and see what happens.

Get it mapped for Maxol E5, higher ron. That will give you a bit more power...

Isnt there a bit of an issue getting that feul,some people say its in all maxols.Im in cork and the only place i was told had it was mitchelstown??????? They dont even say it on the pumps :ponder:

i got fuel in mitchelstown before. asked the lad was it E5 and he said it was, but i found the car wasn't as quick with it and took a few fills afterwards to get it back to what feels like full power. i dont think it was E5 in that maxol but i could be wrong. it should be written on the pump if its E5. thats the only maxol "with E5" ive seen without it being marked on the pump. just my experience.
 
I think that for 95ron the power figure is quite good anyway - isn't it?

And regarding the Maxol stations with E5 - check the list on Maxol's web page.

No E5 in Cork as far I'm concerned.

The one in Mitchelstown doesn't have the pumps marked as E5 indeed and I really doubt it's E5 even if listed on Maxol's website.
 
E5 has replaced regular UL in all 150 Maxol outlets as of Sept 2007; See here:

I use it all the time in my car (upsolute remapped 2.0 Tfsi TT) but TBH whenever I cant get it and I use std 95ul I can't tell the difference. It's supposed to be 99 octane but from everything I've read about it, it seems that 99 is an optomistic figure and in reality it's probably closer to 97 octane. A lot of guys in the UK who have mapped their cars on Optimax 99ul and BP Super 98UL say those fuels are better than Tesco 99 which uses a 5% mix of bioethanol the same as Maxol's E5.

all the Maxol Stations in Cork are serviced / filled from a different depo
to the rest of the country . Makes me sick :wall: :wall:

Anyhow this depo dose not or can not stock E5 ....................hence NO E5 in Cork.

Now the Maxol in Mitchelstown was filled from a depo up the country and did have E5 but
anytime i was there it HAD THE STICKERS on the pumps, so id be a little worried that those stickers are gone now :dontknow: :dontknow:


Anyway K-Jones-087...........................don't take any notice of all those DOOBLIN houre's , with their fancy E5, :tongue: :tongue:
from all the tests done here i think the general feeling was "it was basically the same as 95RON , with a drop of NF/ LUCAS"

:icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: ya from what ive heard this E5 feul isnt all its supposed to be.Anyway lads any advise on my next mods for a little more power.As I said at the start of this thread im a little dissapointed with it as it dosent feel that quicker than what it was.I suppose bigger turbo??? and boost controller??? What ye think
 
Well Keith, Gavin here. Defo go with a boost controller and a bigger turbo, fuel pump and injectors. You should she a nice increase in power then depending on the turbo you go for.
