So seems like i have discovered my first turbo car problem. just noticed on the way to work, was coming onto m50 and accelerating as normal from about 60-100 absolutely no pull out of the car and the tubo was making a larger hissing noise. I have no idea what it is but considering the hissing noise, im guessing its turbo related, maybe a leak somewhere or loose hose? Wont have time to mess around with car until after lunch

Sounds like loose hose/pipe alright Dan, check the large pipe going directly onto the turbo. That came loose on mine before.

sounds like it could be drawing air from either a disconnected pipe or a split pipe!!!!
have a good look around the piping or let the car run and trace the location of the hissing noise!!!

cheers lads, had a quick look at lunch there and it seems like the intercooler elbow going onto turbo had worked itself loose! does anyone know if there is supposed to be a gasket between the intercooler pipe and turbo? didnt have time to take it off and have a look just tightened it back up
