Car specific roof racks

Anyone know where i could get a roof rack for my Legacy? saw online a company called prorack that do a Legacy specific one but cant find anywhere that sells them
 
would carroll and roche not be a good place to get one. Cann't see them being mad money.

not sure Andy, havent done too much research yet, just saw a legacy with one fitted and seemed like better option for carrying a bike compared to on the back of the car. no mounts on the roof which i think most universal ones need?
 
Looking at this for you to get info it looks as though you'll have to go through Subaru themselves for the rails that fit to the car and then there are loads of options as to the rack itself. There are a lot of bike picific racks like this one http://www.orsracksdirect.com/thule-bike-racks.html but they all bolt on to the original subaru item. :dontknow:
 
There's a motor factors down in Stillorgan... can't remember the name... just across the road from the shopping centre, and around the corner from Nimble Fingers toy store that stock all the Thule roof racks and at a fraction of the price of Halfords and other stockists. Got one for the Pajero and found the lads very helpful!

What sort of money were they chargin? Really interested in one myself but not prepared to pay stupid money to Halfords etc....

Sorry... not being very helpful here ... it was a while ago... but can't quiet remember ... but all in it wasn't much more than 150/175... i think!
 
actually found one in Halfords if i search by irish Legacy works out at 114 for roof rack plus various prices for bike rack ranging from 25 to 100 euro, not too bad, now that i know which one will fit i can shop around for cheaper price!
