Car suggestions for the missus

Any snow tomorrow? I wonder if they've an ASC button or if it's hard wired in. :ponder2:

Coming off the motorway for the dealers and got a phone call saying the car is sold. Some dose.

That sucks... wasted time... annoying as hell.

... on the other hand, I would look at it that your man saved you some heartache...

... only see 1-series (116) with engine trouble... all ring issues and burning more oil than petrol.

If going down that route... get a 135M :With_a_whip: at least engine will be under stressed :Falldownlaugh: and you won't mind getting into it when needed.

Trying to talk her around to getting a 320 but she's allergic to 2 litre tax. I've even offered to pay the difference for the year for her. It's only an extra €5 a week aswell.

Oddly enough the 116 for insurance is near half the price of a 316 of the same year. Doesn't make sense to me tbh.

All sorted lads. Picked up a 1 owner 07 Octavia FSI with FSH with change left over.

1.6 I take it?

Octavia is a nice bus... Have an '08 tdi dsg and comfortable car with ok handling... economical and reliable.
Friend had an '07 vRS estate for a few years and drove it a few times and reason I threw them into the mix when I was looking for a cheap to run autobox diesel to commute with. Interior is well made too and just works and when you do need parts they are cheap.

Well wear fella.

Yep. Fsi is a different breed to the old 1.6.and mpi. Very spritely and drive by wire makes them very smooth. Would have loved a vRS but it's overkill for her having not driven for 2 years.

She loves it. They feel smaller than they are to drive.
