Car wrapping

I enquired about getting the focus rs wrapped red, onyx in Dublin were 1500 but I didn't go for it ,not because of price or the quality of their work, but I was nervous of the paint under neath getting scored at the edges when the vinyl is getting cut around the windows etc , what colour would you do it?

Did you see the rs focas on ford mag that got wrapped in red, looked fookin sweet

Seen it looks great , mines the the mk2 and it's white so the under bonnet and door shuts would look pants when they would be opened

Also I'd be looking to get it wrapped up under the rubbers so fingers crossed no blue in door jams and stuff like that
Would cost more but worth the extra me thinks

If ya could get a price on the full car that would be great cheers.

What about car park dings when some idiot opens her door? (yes I said her). Does the vinyl split or tear and you see the paint then underneath.

Have a look at that. Much cheaper than wrapping and looks like its possible to do it yourself. Look at the Pro Car Kits section and search them on youtube. They have some good videos.

Does the heat damage the underlying paint?
Can you take it off ???

Put this way - would you do it to a new car, would that be clever = e.g. and take it off in 3-4 years having "protected the car"

Is it foolish to put it on paint or would it be better on paint than metallic or vice verse?
