carbon bonnet

alri lads just wonderin what you think of carbon bonnets i was thinkin of getin one for my06 hawkeye from red power motorsport im 50/50 about it cheers!

pointless IMO..you have an aluminium one anyway the weight saving is not that great

its not realy for weight saving mine is a non turbo so dont have the bonnet scoop its just realy for looks!

better getting a turbo bonnet for it , carbon bonnets went out with the celtic tiger

im with the lads on this, i have a carbon bonnet on my classic and it aint worth sh*t, there is feck all strength in them, when im driving mine as soon as i get any sort of speed up the wind catches the scoop it bounces up and down and looks like it will come through the window

Think i paid somewhere in the region of €1500 for my one in 2007 when i bought the Red r sport ! problem was you couldnt just cut the original bonnet as there was nothing to fix the scoop to that was solid enough not to crease the bonnet so the whole aluminium bonnet was bought and fitted ,

Don't like carbon bonnets on imprezas at all
