Cat - help needed

Hi Guys,

Had NCT test today and failed on emissions.

Here's the results:

low idle (730rpm) : CO 0.11 % (norm: up to 0.30%)
HC 94 ppm

!!!high idle (2,900 rpm) : CO 0.42 % (norm: up to 0.20%) !!!
HC 42 ppm (norm: up to 200ppm)

Lambda is showing 0.99 (should be between 0.97 and 1.03)

I have normally DeCat, but changed it especially for NCT for standart exhaust, but failed anyway...
I dont want to buy a new cat because Im gonna switch it back to DeCat after Ill pass my NCT, so my question is: which cat should I change and could someone borrow me that for few days for a few euro charge :) My car is jap spec '03 Impreza Sti.

Noone drive Impreza Sti 03-05 :ponder: So whats the best option for me? Buy a second hand Cat for 1 hour? Whats the point?
 
dont know if it will work on your car,but my 05 wrx had a full standerd exhaust on it and it passed the nct with me i took it of after the test and put the new system on,i have the full system turbo back in a box,the teck lads here would know more then me but if it will fit you car your more than welcome to take a lend of it

still makes no difference, without going into to many details, only diff is that jap downpipe's are made of two pieces and uk as one... :icon_biggrin: mine is uk and with jmd full exhaust... :lolpoint:

EDIT: i still have the one from mine, ill rent it to ya... :roll: got the downpipe, mid section and the back box, WITH sti written on it, sexy ahh , ahh ahh, you like that ahh... lol

ech, i lend exhaust from Vitalie but unfortunately its wrong one :icon_hang: he has uk spec and mine is jdm so no chance to fit downpipe... Still looking for someone who has 02-05 sti jdm, need to borrow standart exhaust for few days to pass nct test...
