The car in question is a 2004 Impreza 1.6.
I’ve scanned through previous posts and found no conclusive answers.
The issue is as follows :
When I got the car the central locking on the key fob worked perfect ( two button key ). After a couple of months it stopped working BUT when inserting the key into the drivers door it did lock/unlock all 4 doors.
Currently it only unlocks/locks the drivers door and does not lock all 4 as it used to.
The interior central locking button works perfectly and all 4 doors lock/unlock.
I’ve been told by a locksmith that the key fob is transmitting the signal and seems ok.
Is there an interior receiver within the car that’s damaged perhaps ?
***Considering all 4 doors lock and unlock with the central locking button I can rule out door actuators and wiring to doors.
Any help is appreciated
