Sunday Drivers
Got new quote today 700 fully comp on 01 forester s-turbo found it hard to get insurance on subaru's now, a lot of places either won't quote or if they do there through the roof.. Was pay 1000 as a name driver for it but had to get my own or ill loose my no claims bonus if not insured within a year of issue date.. A topic that's come up a lot lately too. Anyway chill insurance are doin a deal on fully comp that won't be beaten and may be handy for someone trying to get insured on a subaru if finding it hard. Catch is the first €3000 out of the claim I have to pay instead of the normal €600..

The only thing if any use to you is the disc that you'll have in the window!

Pointless insurance sickens me!

i know its the way things have gone for me with this place now, 4 subaru turbos wrx then sti, legacy and now forester s.... :wall: dont know if they just dont like me or if its my area but far as i know ive a clean slate since i started behind the wheel at 17. nearly 9 years ago!!!

Something wrong there so! Is it 9 years clean drivin insured in your own name?

It's really 4 grand a year you're payin and its not really fully comp if you've to pay the first 3k of any claim!

You'd be better off with a shitbox insured and drive the scooby on a 3rd party extension than have what ya do!

well you see the scooby has to be insured and title in someone's else's name for to be covered on 3rd party. something alot of people over look. you could say its 4g but fact is its not unless it happens :hammerhead: 700 fully comp.. they pay the lot of the 3rd party claim but ive to pay the first 3g to fix mine.. its like a 3rd party advertise as a fully comp.. anyway its all i could do on weekend as it had to be done before monday.. ideally i wanted trade insurance but couldnt wait till quotes were back.. ill shop round when get a chance just needed to carry the no-claims (4yr) and (1 named) but doesnt count. never had a claim just lost out with the no claims when i let it go over a year so started fresh again.. :wall:

did this type of cover for the first year , but after advice from others , jumped and would advise anyone else to do so .

not worth it .

Don't take the chance with an excess like that. You'd be better off going with XSdirect if you want that sort of insurance.

Actually based on you're circumstances, I think its a very good deal. You basically have 3rd party insurance as a 26 year old for €700.

The only claim that 3k excess effects is your own car. If you think about it, your forester is probably worth about €1500 so even if you write it off yourself or its stolen, etc, it doesn't really have any effect as most likely you are not going to claim in those cases just to get maybe €1200 at most, because you'll end up paying more than that at your next renewal.
