turbos in general dont give trouble on scoobies if they do there is always a reason for it usually oil starvation ,so on that basis i would say as above could be a money pit with engine trouble gearbox who knows ,having said that as a project goin into it with your eyes open and expecting a complete build it is cheap base car for that
