check engine and ABS light staying on

Just re-wired my digital gauge there from using switched power that was shared with my clarion headunit and i added a fuse holder to IG2 circuit of the fuse relay underneath the steering.

Turned the engine on to make sure all was good, and engine light and abs light stay on. have driven it yet, i tried plugging the gauge power out of the fuse relay to see if that was the problem but the lights stay on. I can connect to the obd2 port when i get home and see if there are any error codes being thrown up .

any idea what could have caused this?

Edit: It displays ER55 or ERSS and then ERR HC where your trip mileage is usually displayed

Er 55 is speed sensor.

Try disconnecting battery & see if that clears it?

EDIT: This was on NASIOC

This is actuallly ABS Error SS for Speed Sensor as I found from a search. My new post is to emphesize the correct reading and to state that the first corrective action is to hose off the wheel hubs to clean the magnetic sensor rings for the speed sensors. In my own case I think that dryed salt from winter roads interfered with the sensor reading and caused the error. Thorough cleaning of the wheel hub areas cleared the fault.

Sorry to butt in but is ILS in the tripometer for the brightness of interior lights or something else thanks John L

Ye i figured it out, the little fuse holder i bought basically plugs into on of the mini blade slots on the fuse relay and then has 2 mini blade slots on the side of it, if i put the fuse into the first one it brings on the engine lights and powers the gauge, if i put the fuse in the 2nd slot it doesnt power the gauge but gets rid of the engine lights. solution was to put to fuses into the fuse holder, seems to have solved my problems!

Not sure what you mean there John, tripmeter on the speedo in the middle is displaying ILS for you or the one in your centre console beside the clock?

nothing worse than seeing the dreaded CEL light come on!

Ye i thought i fried the ecu or something by plugging in that fuse holder i got from ebay! just has 2 slots and both need to be filled. Take out your bottom right fuse and you will see the same engine lights come on!

sounds to me that you are sending power the wrong way, and getting the ignition position 2 lights up in dash, like when you switch on car and get lights on dash that go out when you start up, you are sending power to these and re lighting them.. if that makes sense

Did you sort your xenons???
