Spotted ya in ballyboden today, was in the van on way to the telephone exchange!
Car looking and sounding good. :subaru:

Worked in that exchange myself a good bit
I installed all the Ericsson 202 switches in there in 1998
Do they still have all that Alcatel switch in there that never worked :icon_rolleyes:

Dont know john, but the job has changed so much he could be adound somewhere else but ive yet to meet someone who owned a twin cam!! That exchange is not bad these days, its the cables outside that are the problem!!

Seriously though well worth joining up,club events upcoming subsided track day full access to member section including members only trading being able to send personal messages and a cool windows sticker for your scooby
 
Been thinking about it Ciaran. Think I need a good aul convincing, I know its a good club to join but for a membership fee I wouldnt gain anything, dont mean any offence I would love to be part of the club and help out but I train and travel alot for my sport! :subaru: Unless theres some more things you could tell me about how great it would be? :leggy2

To be honest Dan I can only speak from my own experience and things that stand out for me as a 2 and a bit year member the highlights for me would have to be the great like minded mates I've made the help and technical assistance from the lads in the know and the great members events like barretstown charity run meeting up with other members and going to the likes of cars and coffee car meets tenure classic car show this year stands out too 23 gleaming subarus on our stand and Colins car brought over from prodrive in the uk pride of place it's just not the kinda thing that happens without serious dedication from bigger petrol heads than me,

It's a small thing too but the members only trading section has saved me well over the price of my membership each year by saving money on bits and picking up the odd bargin here and there also

But as I said the best thing is the great mates and helpful members

Everyone will have a different spin on there experiences that's just my 2 cents there's a upcoming cars & coffee meet that a few members go to coming up on the first Sunday in October your more than welcome to come down meet some of the lads see if it's for you :thumbsup:

Sounds so good, thanks for the invite where is it? Im at a contest in Cork til Sunday evening which is the 5th? Is that the day you guys are meeting? Prime example of how I would miss most events the club has which is such a shame! Id say I will fold and join up tonight though :sold

Yea it's not a official meet but a bunch usually get together and head there so no sweat , but yes you will miss it this time not to worry like i said introduce yourself anyway no pressure if I'm driving by and see you out in the blob ill say hello
