Clamping... where do you stand??

i nipped into the bank on the way to work was about 3 mins max and arrived back to see tha clampoer on my car with the clamp on now i was caught thats ok pay fine but the way it was done as far as i couls see he pulled up along my car he must have seen me get out then entered the reg on my car and printed the ticket and parked up got the clamp out and on he was putting the sticker on the window and taking the photo when i arrived i said sure im here take it off ect he said sorry if i hadnt of printed ticket and rang it in id let u off,now think that is unfair to book it and print it then put clamp and do all the other bits i was more pissed of with how he got me than the actuall fine....if i hadnt been on the way to work i would have pulled it up on the truck later that evening

know a few lads at work who cut clamps off. dublin corpo ones .dewalt battery grinders are great, 20 seconds and the lock is cut clamp in the boot and never heard any more about it. that's probably 6 or 7 months ago now .

I have a 18v dewalt battery grinder. :icon_headbang:
Some job once ya have the batts charged.
I would cut off any private companys clamp off my car without hesitation.
But would be a bit more nervos with city council /corpo clamps.
Was there not a vigilate clamp cutter going around a year or 2 ago,
cutting them off old peoples cars in shopping centers?
Think i heard it on the news!

I agree with clamping in some instances. The management company where the GF lives have allowed APCOA access to clamp cars with no permits. This is great here IMO as people where blocking up a yellow box where the bin men need clear for emptying the bins and people where also opening the gates to let people leave their cars/vans inside.

The complex has had assigned spaces since it was built but only now will it be monitored. My GF doesn't drive but she still has to pay for a space so I use it. Time and time again some fucker was using it. The way it works is if you're renting/buying an apartment you get one space, if renting/buying a house you get 2 spaces. He has a house and because he doesn't trust his wife not to hit his sh*t box, he was taking my space.

So I always made sure to park right behind him to stop him getting out and left a note on his window I dunno how many times. Came out one morning to a note on my windscreen saying that due to me parking and blocking him in he had to get his wife to drop him to work and collect him afterwards and he would stop using the space.

Now he's started using the space beside mine and he'll be clamped if found there as he can't register his car with the clampers in a space that isn't his own. Your car has to be registered to your door numbers spaces that are on the list.

:multijump:

ir regards to what Robbie said,

have any of you seen that picture that did the rounds of a stanced/hellaflush green VW golf in the UK?

I'm going to try and dig it up
