Classic GF8 Impreza Lowering Kit?????

What's the standard height of a Classic Impreza GF8 Turbo? Had mentioned on a previous thread about a Coilover Kit but some of you guys reckoned that unless I was using the car for track days it was a bit pointless. Any ideas on a lowering spring and good shock to give comfy ride but nice lowered look?? Car has a spring and shock of unknown brand but is basically like a Go-Kart, superb handling but on Donegal roads, actually any road my rear end and back take a pasting, wife not happy either, happy wife happy life etc etc. Car doesn't look LOW on current set up, looks standardish? Have a nice set of 17's on that I want to enhance. What would be a nice drop on front and rear??????? :anyone:
 
Standard STI pink struts and eibach lowering springs would be quality shocks and get you that lower than standard look without being too harsh!!
 
STI struts new would be pricey and possibly hard to get. You could source a set 2nd hand but they'd be best coming off a low mileage car otherwise like anything 2nd hand you've no idea of what sort of life is left on them. Springs can be gotten through a few sources... Possibly traders on here... Or Uk. Someone will be along shortly I'm sure with more info.
 
I've a full sti red/pink suspension set with lowering springs for sale, came out of my wagon will fit saloon,

perfect working order only changed cos i went with BC Coilovers have them advertised elsewhere for €200 for all four corners
 
Hello Gretts, been working like a dog for a few days so only seeing this post, could be interested in these parts, would they lower the car by much? Any pics? Where abouts in the Country are you? You can text me on 0892014908.

Nice drop, there's no leaks or weeping from shocks?? Yeah I have a classic shape, are those standard STI Rims, mines are 17's would there be any issues with rubbing? Also is the ride COMFORTABLE (wife asking) and I assume the handling is good too? My car is up for NCT on Wednesday but the set-up on the car is harsh BUT the handling is great, this set-up has to go.
 
No leaks/weeps, standard 16" wheels on in pic,

cant answer question about 17" wheels never had them on,

ride is comfy not hard, handling good.
 
I'm gonna see the mechanic tomorrow who changed a few bits on the car for the NCT, I'm not gifted with the spanners so I'm gonna see what he reckons, he's new to me and came recommended for working on Subaru's. I don't suppose you have a pic of the parts for sale? I'll be decent and let you know for definite tomorrow. Cheers.
 
I've no pic's of them out on the ground can be got though may take a day or too there stored in a mate's shed
 
Send a pic I suppose for peace of mind for myself and also I can show the pics to this guy, I'm not replacing any suspension parts till after the NCT on Wednesday anyway. The car has to go back after test to get exhaust back on anyway and I've also few others bits for him to fit.
