Combining a VF22 & front mount is probably going to leave a laggy car. Would definitely be worth driving on an extended test drive to see would it suit you.

New pistons would suggest an engine rebuild but no mention of this or who might have done the work. No mention of who did the mapping either. Mapping with those mods would be absolutely essential.

Gearboxes in uk spec cars are of the "softer" variety. It would struggle to deal with 300bhp on a daily basis in my opinion.

Paying big money for a wrx, you're well into STi territory there at the price listed.
 
i am dealing on part exchange basis for my golf. sti would be good but looking for car from 1999. and all sti from 1999 bit expensive
 
the majority of 99 sti's on the market now could be had for the asking price there. If he's offering a part-ex with your gti then would be worth looking at alright but keep in mind what I've said above.
 
As Brian said , 300 BHP on the 5 speed gearbox , it's only a question of time ,( short time) when it fails.
Also no mention of clutch upgrade for big power
However , most worrying thing is Who maped the car?
