CO Emissions at idle

It's NCT time again so I packed the car off to Tony Guiran Motorsport to be serviced and a have few other bits done pre-test. In the past few months the idle has been unstable and also the car car has felt a bit down on power. Typically in the past week the idle returned to a rocksolid 600rpm.

Tony refitted the downpipe with cat (as the car normally runs a straight through down-pipe) and the idle is still spot on but he can't get the CO at idle to drop below 1%. We think it may be a MAF issue as we had no problem last time but before I go down the expensive route of buying a replacement does anyone else have any thoughts? I was thinking air-leak but haven't found one yet?

Thanks
Niall

This happened to me also, and my lambda was reading to low.
I've an apexi power fc fitted, changed it back to the sti ecu and all was fine

I've an unknown remap (supposedly done at Prodrive) but what bugs me is that it was fine for the last NCT.

Air flow meter, located just after your air filter & monitors the air flow past & feeds info back to ecu re. fuelling etc
