coasting thro floods with no regards for the turbo...... but got away with it...

Tombusa

Sunday Drivers
Came thro phoenix park yesterday onto blackhouse ave.

bad bad bad floods.
I had to get home because we were being flooded out....

2 cars in front

I stopped to see how far would they get because I knew it was fairly up on door. 1 died in the flood and the other managed to turn off into an estate. Waited my time and then bulled thro.

Was very very very lucky, it never got to bonnet level but could have been a very sad story if it got into me turbo.

Only damage apparent was number plate gone.
Noel in C&R told me that i was about the third this morning to report a missing number plate in floods :)

My underground parking was flooded... more than 10 cars were under water up to windscreen... Luckily my car is higher and it was parked on somekind of moving ramp....

Whats the difference in it getting to your airbox and getting to your turbo? :ponder:outcome is still the same :dontknow:
Doesnt have to get to your bonnet either, on standad set up its your resonator box that will be submerded first whether that will hold out the water or not :dontknow:, then airbox/ conefilter

I was going home Monday evening and went through a flood that didn look deep but as I went thought came over the bonnet. I plowed through and and out the other side. All
That happened was lights flickered an my clutch peddle jammed in but popped bak out. I am probably the luckiest person. I honestly don't know how the car didn suck in water. Blessed
