As long as its his car I couldnt care less what the spanner does. :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

Just hope its not been robbed on some poor person. :new_puppy_dog_eyes:

Must have been RWD,
Or maybe DCCD converted!
Sure it's a bit of crack,
It would have been hard auld going on the motor being knocked off immediately after a hard run like that!
Dan

Unless she has DCCD, (which she wouldn't have being a WRX) she would have permenent AWD,
I wouldn't imagen the engine/clutch would be able to overpower the centre diff!
So she must have been converted to RWD
I can drive on the road at about 40kph in second gear around 3,500rpm, Hold the brake with the left foot and right foot to the floor on the throttle, boost builds
Let off the brake and the 4 wheels light up!
If it can do that, surely it would spin up the back while on the brakes!
So, must be DCCD which has a clutch type centre diff that splits the torque front/rear
Or somehow converted to RWD,
I don't know if just removing the front shafts would achaive this? as far as I know, the non DCCD will have a viscous centre diff, which will always have an element of slip, so I assume the if you just removed the front shafts, then there would be power loss there,
Dan

damp road + foot on brakes i reckon , any 4 wheel drive will spin the wheels that have the least resistance against them with the front brakes jamed on the majority of the brake force is to the front wheels which means path of least resistance is to the back wheels , well that makes sense to me anyway

@ Mac mac, You might just do it for the crack,
That car has DCCD, and I can't imagen it is good for the system to do that!
But if it doesn't have DCCD, then the front and rears are mechanically connected, so they wont spin indipantantly of each other!!
In my experiance!
Dan

dan is right

you could do that in a car with dccd

but the black wagon is either converted to rwd or has a dccd conversion as you couldnt do that in a none dccd car with out ripping the diff out of it

:lolpoint: :lolpoint: :lolpoint:
Same with my Skyline :ponder2:, there must be something wrong with them??
Dan

I dont know if the engine was turned off immediately on the Black wagon.....

sounded like the engine died and he was tryin to restart it again........

Anyway, Best of luck to them..... they tried that in my car Id have their intestines for a scarf
