Not 100% sure. Maybe some1 else could shed some light on it? Would honestly cost more than what you would pay for a supposedly working engine.
Im looking for 300 for mine engine comes with 2 new cosworth head gaskets and new head bolts. Heads have just been skimmed and pressure tested aswell

99 jap wrx. Me own is knocking so want to replace or rebuild if possible. A nightmare trying to find someone willing to work with these engines.

Personally i would rebuild. You can get stung buying an engine sometimes. Happened to me before. Not really sellers fault. But it lasted two weeks before it started knocking

Prob is rebuild is value of the car.

Nothing changes that as in cost of parts and labour.

I got bottom end rebuild on mine for under 2k it's been 100% ever since and I have great piece of mind with it now.
