They had a 330d down my way a few years back , must have broke it up cause havent seen it in a long while ,

ohh seen a really strange cop car yesterday , was a wine coloured chevrolet on ww plates , had full set of blue lights on the dash and back window but no aerials visable ,
was it a jeep?

no little shitty car , corolla sized , not well up on my chevy models

the garda have all sorts of cars and jeep now marked and unmarked. Some of the unmarked are cars from the pounds which they use for surveilance. Just heard that a couple of years ago from a drug squad fella in ashbourne

Is that BMW in portlaoise silver? If its the one i'm thinking off they stopped my dad before and didn't realise he's in a unmarked audi A6 garda car :hammerhead:
Yup it is indeed and that would be typical of the ones round here say he had some laugh at their expense
There was 2 unmarked scoobys going up and down the motorway here for a while young cops driving them trying to get people to race i think one get written off and the other is in Sligo now

got pulled few weeks ago in cahir.... he followed me from ardfinnan to cahir which is over 5 and a half miles

he said the van came up on his system as having no insurance.....

the bmw's are all stanard they bought a load of them, some of the 5 series are estate's. all new garda cars are regged dublin. but as said they have been using unclaimed car's from the pound's.

was stopped in traffic a while back outside Koping Volvo, and a silver-blue S80 T6 pulls up beside me in the bus lane. Looked over thinking "nice bus, all leather interior" and what did i see? two lads in Garda stab vests, chililn out nice and breezy! Ya just dont know what theyre gonna be in - bad times!!

I'm adament they are kitting out and using personal cars now too. The chap that lives next door to my girlfreind is a Garda and has a Ford Fiesta, has it about 2 years now but about 6 months ago, it got the lights put onto the dashboard and the bumpers and the aerials on the roof. Ever since he's been constantly using it cruising around after the lads in their Civics.

Using system around naas last couple of months.

Lot of the marked cars have these aswell.

Dark clio with babyseat in back around naas. And its ment to be able to move aswell :new_puppy_dog_eyes:

:smokin:

Couple of the galway mondeos have been g reg since new. And I was stopped in waterford in 2000 by a kk reg rover.Drugs squads liable to have anything.

You can never tell what there gonna be in anymore
anpr stands for automatic number plate recognition basically little camera read your number plate and its linked to the national computer so it'll flash up if you have no tax etc

Automatic number plate recognition, ie when driving up the road the computer can read something
like 5 number plates every second and alert the fuzz that you have no tax or insurance in an instant
:Edit: bit slow typing there

alri lads just a bit of info that may be of some use to yas, theres a subaru forester 98-00 reg i think, undercover in the raheny, killbarack, donaghmede area. seen it twice now. once parked at a set of lights and it tore by me. also seen a 96 opel corsa undercover car in ballybough area parked up once before. used to be mondeos i watched out for now its everything!

are scanners illegal does anyone know it would be a handy thing to have you'd prob figure out what their driving a lot better with wouldnt have to be as vigilant in looking for them

Ah i remember my old bear cat 200, the craic back then, the owl 088 numbers and cops,
i rember some bird trying to orginise a bloke for herself and her fella, not my cup of tea
and another guy arranging with a friend to burn a neighbours gaff, and all the robbed cars, crazy,
fact is you can no longer pick the cops up on scanners any more as its no longer analog, its digital
now a days so i wont say impossible to pick up but hopeless for joe bloggs
