Petrolheads
So as you know it's mothers day Sunday how ever it's also my wifes tobe birthday and our 14th year anniversary,
being the old romantic I booked a Hotel in Galway and managed to get out of work early 3pm
I had told her self to be ready I was going to bring her in to town for a drink and had to meet some ppl ;)
thinking I could get home before her and get some clothes in a bag for the next day with out her knowing,
so it begins, I get out of work early get to the car sit in and get a strong smell of petrol ;( WTF .... I remember smelling it before but thought nothing of it as i had filled up early that morning ,
driving home smell gets worse.
I get home open the bonnet and investergate only to find that the fuel regulator in leaking petrol , I took of the intercooler to get to it turns out the clamp was Broken and the installed fuel pipe was not as tight as it could of been. That's why it was leaking ....... Luckly I had some braded hose in the shed so installed new piece much tighter fit. Put it back together and the noticed i was missing a pliers - found them under ther intercooler when I took it back of :angry1: it's now 5:30 I've told her I rebooked it for 7 , just about to close the bonnet and fine one of the vac pipes was not connected FUG iT  intercooler back off . Any way got to the hotel for 8 had a great night and she was totaly shocked - just back now no leaks and running fine. Now I'm off on the beer for the day , thanks for listening to my rant but it's a happy ending :xmas_cheers:

You must be good at taking off the intercooler now, should be able to do t in your sleep.

if he wasnt half asleep the first time he would have done the job rite with no need to take it off 64 times :1poke:

Fair play Gav.... I'd a just jumped into the other halfs Dirty Diesel Passat and taken that..
Glad ur sorted
