Sorry to hear about the car Echo. Did you ever have to change any bulbs in your dash to see if they were all there in the first place. I've heard of cars coming in with air bag warning lights on and the dealers pull the bulb rather than fix the clock spring which is usually the cause of the warning light.

All the the light came on when you tune the key maybe i was a bit niave but like anyone thought that was ok when that happens

any pics of the damage? How did the car hold up in the crash? bit worrying about airbag not going off, must get mine checked

I do have cam phone pic car held up great panels folded like a tin can but i could get out and not cockpit damage

Hi Echo,

I'm tinkering with the idea of selling my 03' Rev D B4:

-Silver
-Manual
-72,000 kms
-Clifford 650
-Mapped for E5
-No mods
-Immaculate

Drop me a pm or give me a shout (086 068 3898) if you're interested.

Cheers,

Stevie :subaru:

Airbags should have gone off with an impact of 28 mph+ (14mph if its a solid immovable object) and with a impact of up to 30 from the front as far as i remember....

At least i think that the specs for a front air bag deployment

I read somewhere that in certain situations such as a side collision ,the airbags won't go off.The reason being they could do you more harm than good as you will not be propelled into them. But if the car had side airbags they should definately have gone off.
