De Cat in nct

will never pass the NCT with no cat mate!!!!
you need a loan of a cat but ur car has a twin scroll turbo which i think is different to uk type turbo
:ponder2: :ponder2:

as far as I now there was 2 cats in the last impreza I had. I had the back one taken out an it passed think its the one nearest the engine thats the one that will fail if its taken out. I stand corected on all that as I don't now a wrench from a spanner

Gerry is right I think. The New Age Imprezas I think came with 2 cats, downpipe and center section cat. I have heard of New Age Imprezas passing with just the cat in the downpipe and the center section cat removed.

Not sure if this applies to the impreza but talk to northdublin, he has a de-cat downpipe on his leggy and it passed nct no hassle

You could always put one cat on and fill her full of diptane, should pass then

that could be a sports Cat then. A lot more expensive than a "normal" decat downpipe and will still pass the NCT.

I know of cars that passed the NCT with a decat downpipe by fitting a UK centre section with a CAT for the test.

i know a lad with an E85 powered 200sx, he passed the NCT with no cat in his so its is possible but not applicable in this case i think. someone said if your car is listed as supposed to having a cat and they visually see no cat they can/should fail you for that too

its a roger clarke downpipe so i presume its full de-cat no bother, i can either put it back on for nct or get it through the other way!!!
