Depreesingly cheap Hawkeye STI

I'd be thinking the hawk's will suffer because of tax band they fall into . a grand a year will put any perspective buyer off . I'd reckon I'd not see 10k to handy if I decide to sell up and its a clean low mileage car . maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't bother me . . . . . . yet

its the petrol prices not the tax that are making the cars loose value, its only 20 euro a week for tax compared to the 60-90 a week ye have to fill it depending whether its a daily driver or not

In fairness, with the way Road check points are now and the likely hood of being stopped, plus the fact there is ment to be a clamp down on the Cops stamping the non use period forms, the 2.5 tax is more of an issue than Fuel imo, anyone looking to buy an STI knows whats involved with the fuel but with tax being around 40% more on 2.5 over a 2ltr.. its defo a downside to the UK Hawk.
When i seen the ad, thinking back first two things i thought..
1st was.. Fook thats cheap,
2nd was.. ah fook sure its a 2.5

Theres a black hawk eye conversion on donedeal for a while now at 9k. If its done properly it'd be a better option as still an 05 widetrack model with DCCD but with the better (imo) EJ20. I think the power delivery from the 2.5s isn't what it couldve been. Very like an evo the way it flattens out so early in the revs.
