came across this so is it true about the silicone pipes

have a 99 B4 twin turbo this is what i have done and car it goes hard now compared to stock start with a exhaust turbos back with waste gate splitters 2.5' the silicon pipes that feed air from the turbos to the intercooler is really restrictive on the primery and secondary turbo samco make replacements well worth the price i didnt relise how bad the stock ones were till i removed them they only have a 30mm internall diameter these make a good improvment in response and power i have put a high flow panel filter in with a modfied factory air box sucking air from behind lower driving lights through 3' pipe into air box these cars hate breathing hot under bonnet air so dont put a pod fillter on unless you have a cold air box for it i had one to start with made it slower i also removed PVC system and ran all crankcase brethers to catch can all this gives a good increase in performace and drivability especially on the primery turbo

take a breath and say that again

hahaha I had a similar (but not so friendly reply) all typed out but didnt have the balls to go through with it hahahah

Some punctuation goes a long way!!!

I have a 99 B4 twin turbo, this is what i have done and the car goes better now compared to stock. Start with an exhaust, turbos back with waste gate splitters 2.5'. The silicon pipes that feed air from the turbos to the intercooler, is very restrictive on the primery and secondary turbo. Samco make replacements, well worth the price! I didnt relise how bad the stock ones were, until i removed them. They only have a 30mm internall diameter. These make a good improvment in response and power. I have put a high flow panel filter in with a modfied factory air box sucking air from behind the lower driving, lights through 3' pipe into the air box. These cars hate breathing hot under bonnet air, so dont put a pod fillter on unless you have a cold air box!! i had one to start with, which made it slower. I also removed the PVC system and ran all crankcase brethers to the catch can. All this gives a good increase in performace and drivability, especially on the primery turbo.

So no one has tried it then??
I would defo do all that stuff if I was getting her mapped to suit, 30mm diameter boost pipe isn't a good thing!
Sounds like good advise,
Dan
