no ive no alarm.......ive one on the way......ive been really busy recently but its still no excuse for not havin one.
on the plus side i learnt a bit about the car and i could change out a window in a matter of minutes now.
it could have been worse and its got my arse in gear as im upgrading the cameras today

You can get kits in Maplins n stuff, theyre wireless and the receiver just scart's into your tv or vcr or watever

stay away from the wireless stuff, anyone with a receiver above 1 gig can receive you camera feed. a normal cam needs power and a coax feed to the monitor/tv. my cameras are wired to a dvr and then it records and feeds the picture to all the tv's in the house. to wire to a standard tv you need to run a coax from the camera to the tv and terminate the cable at the tv end with a rca plug which you can then plug into the av socket on the back of the tv, most tv's now have multiple av connections so you allocate one for the camera and when you want to see it just swich over to it via your remote. this is basic and you cant record but it allows you to see whats happening.

sorry to hear that. if i was you i would check your cameras , i doubt they just stumbled on your car at that hour of the morning..i would guess that they had already checked it out and knew there was Sat Nav......

yeah i did that but theres so many kids and young ppl around here especially on bikes......the dvr lets me go back about a week but i only went back a day or two. if they hadnt of been wearing head torches i probably wouldnt off seen them but the cameras pick up even the faintest bit of light and it was this that caught the corner of my eye while i was typin away here. i took a few pics but dont think theres any need to post them up here

Well in this case, when I made a Statement about it, they told me they were going to get the lad to pay for the damage, but I don't know if he did because my car wasn't one of the vandalised ones (somebody had taken my parking space that night, so I'd had to park across the street - phew!
