If you want a totally different experience get an mx-5 on 14"'s and drive the stones out of it...you'll be much much slower than your Subaru but you'll be a lot more involved. I don't think there is a better all round car than a Subaru but if your looking to be entertained and don't care about the image a RWD roadster will do that.
Keep the Legacy don't sell it but you don't need to shell out money on an M3, you can't get anywhere near the limits of its performance on a public road your not going to track it because its a little heavy. Did a complete u turn on roadsters this summer, I don't care how much of a queer I look, its a serious laugh blasting around with the roof down...doesn't need to be sunny either

Mx5 are great little handling car... Nothing like taking the roof off and heading out for a late night blast.. When I had the t-bar mr2 face time for roof off was nice cold night hat and jacket on and roof off some crack no other car makes ya feel the same...... But Jees I loved my m3 every thing except the tax... Also it was way easier than Scooby on juice.

If ya getting bored of car do what I do just buy something stupid and cheap and keep Scooby I usually have 2/3 cars and the bike... So I don't get bored

i usually get bored of a car after about 3 years depending on what i do with it, if you dont like looking at your car anymore its time for a change, why not try a type r impreza, its a totally different car than the leggy with more preformance and a different feel and look, the 3 door cosy with be a lovely car as with the r33 but you wouldnt drive the cosy every were and be happy to leave it in a carpark, the r33 is a nice car but not my cup of tea.

plenty out there to choose from at the moment but if i were you id stay subaru

The R33 GTR is not that exciting..dull vague steering ...felt very heavy as well..I test drove a 450hp one it was mental quick but no feel to it. To get thrill in a skyline you need to be travelling at licence losing speeds...first thing my mate said to be when i said I was going to look at it..."you'll be banned for 10 years if you buy that"

Don't sell your Leggy Johnny... you'll live to regret it. If you can afford to hang on to it then park it up and buy a cheap fun toy.

Speaking of MX5's... I've lovely little red one if you fell like being a hairdresser for a while. :1poke:

All joking aside they are great cars and savage for some sideways fun!

Hey Johnny, all you really need is to drive something else (anything) for let's say 3 months.. and then you will miss your subaru again ;)
My type-r costs me a fortune and I was really close to getting rid of it, when it was standing on parking place as I didn't have money to rebuild it. But when I eventually brought it back on the road and I'm looking at it or driving it I'm instantly forgetting about all the trouble it had caused so far..
And to be honest can't see finding myself in any other car at the moment.

im in the exact same boat as your self man, have my type r now 9 months just want a change back to rwd for me anyway.as i dont drive car every day im thinking of getting something different like e39 m5 :smokin: its not the running cost making me change just think as i dont drive it as my daily time for something abit mad

Had an R32 skyline nice car and all that but i had me first wrx wagon b4 the R32 and as soon as i sold the R32 i new it was back to subaru i was going.

Now that im back for the last year and a half,i think im subaru for life :subaru:

As i said in my last post i think you need a wrx and you will love it

Have to agree, the 33 Gtrs are a dull car with no personality at all, perfect for airfield top speed runs etc etc.
The greatest buz i got from any other car other than a scooby, was a 96 Type R integra, they are like a go cart on the road, and at home on the track... cheap, reliable fun. Have an 03 m3 at moment, its parked up since before the snow, cant get it out of my drive... useless fooker

i had a 98 wrx about 5 years ago rob,it was an sti look alike, to tell ya the truth i regreted buying it,
i sold it on a month later...
i have a mate in cardiff that does a bit of wheeling and dealing with cars and hes on the look out for a nice clean cossie for me.....it will probably take until after xmas though.....

johnny, it looks like your heart is set on a cosy so if i were you, i would go for it, life is to short to and you can always go subaru again

shifting Leggy for a Cossie seems very much sensible! I'm sure Cossie is one of a kind.

cheers lads :icon_pray:
was talking to my mate again today and hes goin to take my rs off me as part of the deal whenever the right cossie comes along....
i got a quote yesterday of nearly 5 grand to insure a r33 gtr :cuckoo:

Had a sapphire cosworth myself and loved it but my dad has a moon stone blue 3dr sierra cosworth and although simular performance wise you just cant beat the look of the 3dr.Beautiful cars.standard v standard they arent in the same league as scoobys or evos performance wise but Id still love one.Nearly went to the uk for one during the summer but always had a thing for imprezas so i bought my sti type r in september instead.Dave in sti tuning is doing a fully forged rebuild for me at the moment and I cant wait to get it back.If a cosworth is what you want id say go for it.You only live once and if your not happy afterwards you can always go back to subaru

either in black or moonstone blue is what im after, which ever 1 comes along first is the thing though....

They look equally good in either colour. Was going for a black one myself just to be different to the fathers one.there was a very clean black one for sale in wicklow not too long ago.I spotted it on piston heads.just had a look for it there tho and no sign of it.must be sold
