dont let your brother drive your car!!!

As Jamie says I would consider a total re-shell with that amount of damage. It is not likely that any panel will look the same or even line up correctly after a repair. Colour matching the paint on a 10 year old car will be a nightmare too.
 
ah see ive an ace up my sleeve, im helpin work on the car with my neighbour whos an unreal panel beater, he has a jig and can pull the whole thing straight, the whole car is still straight so that good, the center pillar, well the jury is still out on that one but ive full faith in my bodyworker, i dont really want to reshell because i want to keep it a 00 which i assume it would have to take the reg of the chassie of the donor car yes? And im gonna give it a full respray anyway so paint isnt really a problem, (neighbour has a full paint mixing machine and spray booth)

@JAMIE-TYPERV6: course its worth trying to repair, i get to shop for upgraded parts, go on road trips, meet new ppl, spend loads of money i dont have :653: im not gonna claim on my insurance, not worth the hassel and im only 20 so there just gonna roast me for a fre years then. ive an excellent pannel beater so im not worried about the quality of the work, id say he could fix the top gear toyota hilux if he was let!!! no idea whats involved in a total reshell to be perfectly honest, will enquire monday!!!! underside is grand

Ill be honest mate..... It doesnt look pretty.....

But I have fixed much much worse in the past....
Only real concern i have there is the dent above the B pillar.....

Wings and Bonnet, any muppet could change them as long as the chasis is straight....
Side damage looks fairly cosmetic to be honest.... Id say there might need a small amount of a pull on the jig but not a whole pile.......

Pull the doors off and have it will take the bad look off it.... if ya want to save money ya might get away with door skins instead of full doors...
Youll have a little trouble with the hinges from the looks of things but ya should get away with them with out any hassel

I am a fully qualified pannel beater myself however gave it up some time ago for health reasons.......

@froggy23: will do m8, heard only good things bout ya :) :icon_pray: @ hammie: yeah thank god it is mostly cosmetic, worried bout the b frame myself so might end up cutting it out, honestly dont know yet, will have to see, the hinges for the back are in bits so if i cant straighten them ill have to replace the whole thing, again will find out monday, debating wheather to buy a full doner car or just parts at the min, might have to cut out the floor panel yet so it could be usefull!
 
Tat was nasty but luckily no one was hurt and ur scooby can be fixed again and plenty of lads here to help u out wit parts and advice :thumbsup:

ok the POA so far, assuming the doctor has a look at my car tomorrow and give me the good news, i think it might have caught an STI :new_puppy_dog_eyes:
might buy noeler2006s 97 non turbo, its got 90% of the parts i need, thinking of using the gutted car to make a impreza pick up!!!!
drawing up plans for that as we speak!! ill post tons of pics and stuff, ill have more up tomorrow when i get to see the car so cant wait!!!

feel your pain man!!! ya possibly gonna have to get a whole new front panel of subaru, and will give ya a heads up , they come like a jigsaw , a lod of diff sections that have to be welded together!! and they aint cheap!! hopefully ya get it back on the road soon, keep us posted!! may have a left hand spot lamp and indicators there, i know it be the least ya be looking for but every bit helps!!!
 
rite lads, makin good headway with the car, have the front end pretty much sported, headin up tomorrow to froggy to get the rad and stuff, maybe a nice bumper if he has one!!!! have the sill out of the doner car i got from noel and gonna line up that one.
i had a full entertainment system in my last car so ive been throwing that in over the last few days, have the screens in and the wires run for the amp and subs, waitin for the wiring loom for my dvd player and then i can hook all that up and finalise it!!!
have a little surprise for the agm, should be back on the road by then and making headlines!!! thats the plan anyway!!!
