Double f*****g standards

I think this is nearly worse than the guards taken points off licences print it off and bring it with you for the laugh

That judge has just set precedent for people to get away with being banned when they do +50% of the speed limit once they're honest in court. A member of traffic corp told me that once it's +50% of the limit it's an automatic ban as it's considered dangerous driving. Similar to the UK where it's automatic ban if you're caught doing over 100mph.

I was pulled bout 4 years ago in the ra doing 189kph down the motorway when running late for work and got a fixed penalty and 2 points gone now thankfully but I wasnt taken to court but I think I got the cop on a good day and the only reason I avoided court and kept my license is I seen him with the speed gun out and as I drew near he pointed at me and I pulled in for him without him having to come after me and was nice, polite and humble when dealing with him I did get a bit of a bollicking of him though

Well, the authorities here in Ireland are actually extremely relaxed, to say the least. In Czech, they would without hesitation cut your licence and you'd have to walk. Czech cops are real scumbags, to say the least. I was stopped once, doing 80 in 60 zone, I was however following taxi that was doing exactly same speed, when the Gardai asked me how fast I went, I was like 'just like the taxi in front of me' and he was like, 'yea yea, so how much was it' 'Over 70' I responded. He asked me if I had some drinks(friday night), I said no just driving my girlfriend and her coworkers from work, then he asked me if I had any convictions before, if my tax/insurance is ok etc. then he gave me back my licence and told me, that he knows its quiet and we're tired from work and wanna get home, but I should slow down...

if the same thing would happen in Czech, I would have to pay huge amount and beg them not to take my licence, they would go inch by inch around my car to see what else they could spot me on to increase the bill etc.

:plusone: no mention of points which sickens me

I'm struggling to see why everyone is so pissed off here! The judge has nothing to do with points. If she is convicted of speeding in court, which she was, it's 4 points, that's it!! And she got a €500 fine too!! What more ye want,,,,,

If the points are automatic that's fine just no mention anywhere of points.
problem is no ban you reckon anybody here gets caught doing same speed and goes to court and says to be honest I was driving an Impreza and I reckoned it was safe enough to give it a bit on the empty dry motorway he would says ok thanks for been so honest?not a chance headline title would be "Boy racer banned for reckless high speed stunt"
It happens all the time.

Don't agree! Have seen plenty of lads before the courts for similar.... Worst iv ever seen is €750 fine, and the points obviously.... If you can tell us of a specific case where someone lost there licence for 187kph on a motorway I'd love to hear it?? Since it happens all the time.....

I got caught doing 23klms over the limit a few weeks ago! 3 points for 3 years! I should have got my t1ts out!!

I got caught couple weeks ago 110 in 100 3 points for the bro [emoji2]
Also few year ago was in court for not paying speeding fine got funded €150 and got no points
