drive boot question

this might be a stupid question (it probably is) but theres a rip in one of my rear drive shaft boots and theres greasy sh*t all over the diff,
now its the passenger side rear shaft and its the boot nearest the diff so my question is is it an inner drive boot or an outer drive boot that i need to get
