not overly bothered by it really ,

my intention is for the car to be purely a summer car , and to be on the road between april and september , so to declare the car off the road from october to march is not a major problem , were planning on changing her car in next while to something bigger than her corsa which should almost eliminate the use of the scooby for long and ultimately expensive journeys , so the impreza will purely be a toy to take out when i want to rather then when i need 2 .

and keeping up with form , here is the next installment of "bend over and take it " from our lovely leaders , and by lovely leaders i really mean

BUNCH OF WANKERS

Ireland i love , but the country is a joke !

and dont get me started on the roads , some of the CRATER'S iv come across in the past week are like something you can see on the moon ,from earth !!!!!! :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

3months in advance is abit much! What happens if someone actually has to put the car off the car road say next week and declare that it wont be used for 3 or 4 months from whenever you send off the paperwork?

Maybe im not understanding it correctly.

it does say that the local authority will be working with owners with special needs like if they have to work abroad or are ill etc , there will be a way around it because they aint that clever in the civil service so loop holes will be found and exploited

easy way around that but costs owers on the car ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, change the name on the log to a ma or what ever she gets it tax it then back to u but it will cost the owership to go high each time u want tax and u driving wit none for months

I don't mind having to declare it off the road for the winter months but having to give 3 months notice is ridiculous. You don't know what will happen tomorrow let alone in 3 months, what happens when someones engine blows suddenly and a family cant afford to fix it and have to survive on public transport? These assholes are so out of touch with reality.

:goodpost:

thinking the same , IF you have an accident , can afford immediate repair , where do you stand ?

fools i tell you

:goodpost:and yep they are complete wankers what happens to a car of the road now?

Its simple, every time you tax it you declare it will be off the road when that tax runs out. So when the tax does run out you can leave it off the road or tax it again. It's costs nothing to declare it off the road.

If everyone does that it will really fuk up the system.

can your tax be put on hold?i think this can be done in the uk,if ur car is declared off the road but taxed can it be froze till goin back on road and new disc issued

Sure there will be no garda stations to get the stamp same way theres fook all tax offices to tax your car.they want everybody paying up on time and online.
Straight from your pocket and into the government bank account.

The roads are gone to sh*t sick and tired of swerving to avoid what are not even pot holes anymore
I have seen a few fixed over the last two weeks with a bit of tar dropped into a hole in proper concrete
IL give it a week before the tar breaks up. :angry1:
