Driveway security - removable metal pillar/bollard

Hi lads,

Me again :smile: Just wondering if anyone can suggest somewhere, preferably in Dublin, that supplys metal pillar/bollard type jobbie for your driveway?
The ones you sink into the concrete with 4 big fúckoff masonry bolts and cover with more concrete :icon_grin:

I tried Halford towards Coolock and lads there was as about as useful as an ashtry on a motorbike. (ah to be fair they we're helpful)

Any suggestions bar sleeping in the car over nite?

Only sold one there two weeks ago. Got two made and fitted the other one behind my baby last week.

You'll have to get one made up by a Steel fabricater. I'll get you the number of one if you want.

I don't have the number to hand but theres a very good steel lad that lives on my road, the lad that made mine was a mate of the brother and just did him a favour.

I'll get that number for you tomorrow and if you need it still you can ring him then.

I got mine there a couple of years ago, I think they're supposed to be trade-only, but the owner (Brian, I think) was sound and has no problem selling to the 'end-user'!!
They've a good selection offering differing levels of protection.

of topic here lads...make sure your wife backs her car into the driveway...if she drives in and then reverses into it in the morning its your fault..sorry its mine or so i was told.... :icon_blahblah: those things can do a nice bit of damage,but there a great job...fitted one after i had a m2 gti robbed :new_puppy_dog_eyes:
