How easy is it to remove a set of front droplinks and an anti-lift kit?? Can it be done diy?

Also what is the bushing called that the ALK replaces?

Thinking of going back to standard set-up but not paying to have the work done

Its fairly simple robbie just three bolts for the alk two go up into the chassis and then a big nut on the end of the wishbone they just slide off then ,what type of drop links are fitted to it bolt type or the ones with a call joint each end

Cheers Dec, So the ALK is straight forward at least:):)

Not too sure on the droplinks to be honest, I did a quick google search on both types there and I would imagine they're probably the call joints.. Is there much difference to them?

The ball joint type can be a little tricky because the threaded part can spin when opening and you need to hold it with a small vice grip other than that no prob

Just found the whiteline ones and they're spherical rod end KLC39.. Think the spherical rod end is the same as the impreza from the one i checked but I don't know if there's any other differences :dontknow:

Wouldn't mind taking them tomorrow night to check if possible dec and I'll give them back to you again at the next meet if they don't fit?

Do you know the name of the bushing that the alk replaces? Just so i know what to ask for

Mine are not spherical type man but I will bring them anyway tomorow night the bushing is called rear wishbone bushing

Just thinking, is the alk under any tension while unbolting it? As in, is anything gonna shoot loose and take a finger off me

I've read somewhere that its best to do the droplinks while the car is on the ground? Can I take the wheel off and use a jack with a piece of wood to support it?
