Just wondering are there many people using these when they are polishing their cars. I've been thinking of getting one for myself, a Kestral DAS-6, like the one in the link.

What i want to know is are they any good? Are they hard to use? And any suggestions of other ones that people have been using. Tips and tricks to using them etc etc.

The reason why i haven't got one before now is because of people constantly saying that it is very easy to destroy the paintwork on your car when using them, and as we all know Subaru's have a notoriously soft paint. Knowing me and mixing one of these with soft paint could end up really bad! :cuckoo:

I have the kestrel one. Haven't used it much. Can really do damage with random orbital polisher only rotary one u can burn through paint in the wrong hands because of its fixed spin whereas dual action oscillates randomly

i think detailer is the fella to ask , been thinkin of gettin him to do my car and get tips of him which is best and easiest to use

Have a kestrel myself, its a good job, gives excellent results, its the best value for money...

Try here: http://www.shinearama.co.uk/search.php?fcat=73

Also, waxamomo, polished bliss, cleanyourcar, autobrite direct, Monza... All respected sellers.. Have a look through each and find the best price for yourself

This man is the best around, and he has a load of great tuition guides.. Here's the DA guide for the DAS-6 and others: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=63859

Be careful though, once you start, you'll never stop.. I've spent more than i care to think about on products in the last 2 years :icon_redface:

Also, if you take your time an inspect the panel often, then you won't have a problem damaging the paint. Stick with the DA machine and then in a year or whenever you feel ready, step up to the rotary
