Dyno'd the car today.

Yeah i remember you getting those figures Andy..I dont know..Hard to tell with the car still feeling quick and running so well..

Air temperature can hugely affect roller results as well...on a hot day the fan running indoors does fcuk all expect force warm air through the engine..if the car feels quick and is boosting ok thats all that matters...people get carried away with rolling road figures when half the time they aren't even accurate.
People are trying to reverse engineer flywheel figures that manufactures get from bench dynoing the engine....so many variables that can change ..tyre pressure, air temperature, air flow, transmission losses...some operators even use different gears...if it was a scientific process it would never stand up to scrutiny...the Yanks use power at the wheels because it is the real reading the rollers provide..the flywheel power is an estimation.

Suppose the only way to find out would be to have a race against another scoob with a better dyno result and see the outcome :icon_biggrin:

Tempting..Dont know if id track my car though...Id rather bring an oul shitty vtec or somrthing out and not worry if it blows up

Do a few laps at a time, then allow the car to cool down for a while and go again. There's been loads of the lads who've done it for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. Most of those lads have now signed up again for this years :subaru: :subaru:

Once you take her to track, you'll definitely be back :icon_biggrin:

Agree with Robbie, i wasn't sure if i'd take mine out on track but got some track time in at Japfest just to see what it was like
since then i've two trackdays under my belt :icon_headbang: and i'll be doing this years if i can afford it (timing belt change due) :icon_rolleyes:

with it being open pit it's quit relaxed as there's no pressure to get out, so when you do get out you'll be for the most part out there on your own, so you can go at your own pace until your comfortable with the track
