E5 Question

My Car is a Uk, so its runs on 97, but i normally run it on 95.

I put E5 (99.2) Dont know if its in my head but it seems more reponsive.

Is it safe to keep using the E5 or stick with 95 petrol? the reason i ask is that the people that installed the Prodrive told me not use booster and just the better petrol instead.

What the best thing to do??
Run 2 octane less or run 2.2 Octance higher
Is it safe with out remapping the car to use the E5 since its already 97....
just say... i run it on E5 for a few weeks, i cant get E5 one day and have to use normal unleaded will that do damage with the sudden drop in octane on that fill.


your thoughts on this would be great!

Run it on E5...

The timing would have retarded for the 95 petrol but with the E5, the ECU would have relearnt the knock levels allowing you to get more power. I think everyone on this site is using E5 at this stage where its readily available in their area :thumbsup:
 
great.. ya it does sound better tickin over actaully now that u say that..

i go to bantry most sundays so will just fill up da tank each week.. i guess 10 euro of normal unleaded wont hurt if i get stuck inbetween.
 
If I could ask another couple of questions.......Can a regular car run on E5? Is it ok to mix and match E5 with regular petrol?
