Ebay GPS Tracker

Most good theives know where they are hidden in the car and rip them out. Also the car will most likely be parked in an underground carpark out of reach of the signal.

A good Clifford alarm with all the bells and whistles

She has a clifford at the moment but just looking for that extra bit of sanity when its parked outside.

The keywords are "most good thieves" - I might be wrong, but from my last experience and some readings, like last Hammie's posts - most of attempts is made by stupid morons.
With the price of the tracker - I wouldn't really hesitate and might be worth of fitting.
Of course it can be made useless. It can be not very helpful in underground parkings - but on the other hand even if car is finally hidden in underground or so, it might send some information about the steal in the move or something, sendning some information the car has been taken from your property (or area), is moving and also giving you at least possible last position it was at.
And - however it's illegal - you have a chance to deactivate the car by sms in most of those solutions.

And all this for not really huge money...

I think it's illegal just because you can cause an accident stopping the engine in the moving car - of course that's the worst scenario, but anyway as far as I remember it's forbidden by EU laws or something.

But on the other hand - if you're careful and you deactivate ignition when the car is actually stopped - who cares? :)

The problem might be if it's not a lamp post but group of kids or something. Otherwise I wouldn't care, too.

More lamp posts than fat little kids around these days in playin there xbox, i like my odds.
