lookin for above for a classic type r. Anybody know who sells need a set for mondello next monday?

Hopefully someone can help you out!
If not, Don't worry about it, The rear brakes won't get near enough heat in them to overwelm the standard pads!
I stick to standards in the back and my car is 400kg heavier than yours!

As Dan said, don't see the point to put yellow stuff on rear. They require warming up to brake properly. Red ones would be enough if not too much ;)

ye might go standard . there is sigle pots on it now with ap's on front but goin 2 pot on rear forvthis one. might go with standard see how it goes

Is she a WRX type r???
STI type r's had twins on the back, as far as I know!

sorry to crash the thread a bit but whats the differ between red stuff and yellow as opposed to standard sti brakes. I put the standard subaru pads on my last sti and the cost an arm and a leg :new_puppy_dog_eyes:

Oh jaysus, genuine pads are shocking bad value for money!
All pads have heat/compound ratings, typically the higher the heat rating means a harsher compound and it takes longer to get to good operating temp,
So track pads are harsh, dusty and ake a while to get to operating temps, but they take longer to overheat and fade,
Road pads work grand from cold, dont chew up discs, don't make to much dust and ca usually cope grand with fast road driving, but will fade, overheat and melt after 3 laps around mondello,

A rough scale would be
1. Road pads, Which are grand for most fast road sprinting, they just get overwelmed after maybe 10-15minutes flat out driving!
Any motorfactors brand (ie. apec) Origonal subaru pads, mintex or mintex extreme etc etc,
2. Fast road pads, will last longer than road pads before fadeing, but usually just take one or two uses to work properly and can be dustier/noisyer,
Mintex 1144, Ebc redstuff, Ferodo DS2500, Padget Black/blue
3. Track pads, will probably never fade, but take a good while to work as they should, they eat into the discs faster, make a fair bit of dust/noise and only really nessisery on balls out track cars,
Mintex 1155/1166, Ebc yellowstuff, Ferodo DS3000, Padget yellow and so on,

This is just my experiance,
I'm sure there a few lads that use track pads on the road and do not notice any bad side effects,
I know I drive the heart and soul ot of my 200bhp TDI golf every day on standard road pads that cost €75 for a full all round set!
But I melted a €400 set of standard porsche front pads into my grooved discs in mondello after a half day of flat out racing!
So I hope this info is useful
