ECU REMAP

I'm not mapping to 95, ill map the E5 which is a few ratings higher,

Autos make the same power figs when remaped to manuals,

330 seems to be the norm for Vpower mapped cars by, so take 10 off for crappy E5, maybe 15 to be conservative, I'd be happy at that

Know of a dutch Auto B4 that made 340 with a catless system :)

I would take those figures with a pinch of salt..I've yet to see anyone dyno a B4 at 320 on standard turbos.. plenty of people on this site have mapped their B4's on E5, me included, full decat, to full boost threshold of the turbos and not made that power

all figs are taken with a pinch of salt, especially Dyno figures, all comes down to when it was last configured

no really way of measuring accurately, though i like the way Bob works out his power estimates, good old physics

but like i said you won't see as big figures here as you will in the UK

^^^ Well hang on a second, now why didnt I think of this.
Yes, I must just pop out to the money tree in the back garden, and start pulling €100 notes off it.
Then its off I got to buy a Rev D.

Hmmmm, reality must not have set in with you now has it??!! lol

there is no smiley good enough to post az my answer, so I'll post an elephant...

but serious...
soon I'll be selling my B4 RevD.. well, can sell now even... but when I realize those all phone's or txt's as "I'll give ya 2k, is not worth more" or "I got same as yours for 1.5k", I'm sick already...

just buy B4 revision D in which re-map is not necessary?

Where did you get this gem from? The desno ecu in later rev d models can adjust the timing more for 95 but not completely...if in Austraila the slightly detuned B$ runs on 98 ONLY..in Japan they are recommend to run on 100 octane...you might be ok running E5 but you will still be well down on factory performance

didn't say re-map in not needed at all. just is no necessary. Denso ecu will allow you to run on Irish 95-octane petrol.
not long ago I've done tests with e5, 95 and all mixed with octane booster... connected with kkl cable to my laptop and read data in ecuexplorer. checking for ignition timing, knock correction...
never had negative (-) knock correction or ignition timing, even on 3rd and foot down from 2.5k
