right lads ive more of the parts got for my type r that 1 wanted and its looking savage :icon_headbang: so next up was either the paint it but there no need only 1 or 2 car park dents other than that its spotless so im going for power :dance:
car has good few bits done as awell as been type r to start with
is got
full system up
new up pipe
new unequal length manifold
new fimc
uprated fuel pump(unknow of make)

so next on my list is ecu and i WANT to run anti lag so that rules out what im used to in power fc
so where do i go now??what do ye recommend?who is runing anti lag and what ecu are ye useing??

are bigger injectors need when im going for remap?dont want massive power just a good map not maxing out turbo

also not opening can of worm ere but who do ye get to map car??
im thinking martin Tracey as he is sound man to deal with and runs cars safe

Hey, if you want to have it done in Ireland, Dave from STi Tuning is the man to speak to... He's using Bob Rawle for mapping job, you will find him in our trader's section

Other option would be Simon from JGM, he will be coming down to Ireland probably before Christmas.


Both Bob Rawle and Simon from JGM are top UK mappers :thumbsup:


If you really need ALS, go for Simtek. :thumbsup:

If you're staying with the standard turbo no need to change the injectors really ;)
 
I would go for the new must have subaru accessory and ay the extra to get a sivecs ecu rather than the simtek... Generally better ecu all round from what I've been reading up on it...

Was in a car running Syvecs and i must admit it ran as smooth as silk, i was very impessed. (he had changed over from Ecutek) Mapped by JGM
 
Have you any idea of how much it is going to cost you to have anti lag??? :dontknow:
You could probably pick up a 2nd turbo and injectors and have near 380bhp for the cost..
Anyway i have Simtec with a/l
Simtec, Syvecs, Motec, Solaris are all ecus that will run A/L

any particular reasons not to recommend tdp ?
 
after spending the last few days getting more info and few prices,dave from sti tuning is going to limerick before end of the week ive to meet him alone the way and he will have look at the car see what i dont and do need and hope to get the car mapped in the November group as the October its to near for me!!!!!!!!!

to answer the question why not go for bigger turbo and injectors im after comeing for a 360.1bhp and 413 torque s15 which was just un drivable as every day car imo
all im looking for is a good safe map if it sees 300bhp il be happy :653:

as for tdp dont get me wrong his the best as what he does just look at the prodrift cars he must have 75% of the cars that have been mapped done which speaks for it self!but he will nevr map a car for me again,knob!!!!!!

any subaru owner thats has anti lag and or launch control fitted care to take me for a spin?????????just so i know what im getting my self in for :multijump:
 
With upgrades you have on your Type R no need for uprated injectors atal and with panel filter, New NGK Sparks and current mods you have you should reach 330 bhp whilst still keeping her safe (again not conclusive for all cars)
I have Type R with Simtek ECU and A/L mapped by JGM and A/L it is a sweet extra.
Alot of lads get it for the pops and bangs and after driving in a members car fitted with A/L & L/C i figured at £150 extra itd be worth it and it is a nice extra i have to admit however i dont use it much considering the age of my turbo(factory v3)!
I agree with Robbie the Syvecs seems to be the business and some of the lads up north on scoobyireland seem to be very impressed!Best off asking a qualified mapper such questions but Dave should be able to fill you in on the nitty gritty via Bob!
