ecutek v simtek v solaris v ......

What are the probability's of havin/getting knock on a remapped car , surely the point of remap is to extract the most power available with no/ minimal knock ??????
 
That would be the idea Ross but there's no accounting for a solenoid that sticks open, or a split in a pipe that ends up causing a boost spike or similar and the ecu has to be able to react to things like that so that there's no damage done to the engine :thumbsup:
 
bad batch of fuel/dirty fuel or wrong mix used,fuel pump failure,drop in fuel pressure,oil pressure dropping these can all be detected and safe mode activated on syvecs

as you said your better with syvecs,as simtek does have its issues with sart up procedure

You only get what you pay for. The Motec has massive technical support and features. Buy it once and take it car to car for life. Second hand value of £1800-£2000. No other management on the market hold value like that! Free software upgrades included.
BTW I dont have it but if ever on the market again it would be my choice.
How much is fully loaded Syvecs? I realise its getting rave results but its only being compared to Simtek which is like comparing roast beef crisps to sirloin steak.
 
if you got the cash to buy it,but for the nearest ecu on the market is syvecs

nearly bought motec m800 early last year,but when i contacted a mate who has it in his P1
he basicaly told me to go for syvecs

1700-2000K supplied fitted and mapped depening on what sensors are already in place
