I was reading the Metro today and there is an article on page 11 in relation to the California 200 rally.
One of the drivers crashed 2 miles into the race going over a jump called the rockpile where the crowd was standing three metres from the track with no guard rails or gravel traps. He jumped the car sideways and landed badly and killed eight people and injured twelve others.
Why I am posting this is he could face a lengthy spell in jail. The article goes on to say that in February 2008 a drag racer hit and killed eight spectators in Maryland and the driver is in prison for 15 years. Now it this was a road race the 15 years for acting the maggot is one thing. But it the drivers are provisional doing there jobs and people paid to go and see them do it then it is there own fault for standing in a dangers position.
