engine block value

well lads,
big end bearing went in my car a while back iv since got a new sti8 block fitted just wondering is my old block worth anything to sell it?
its out of a 99 V5 type r it obviously needs to be rebilt but the block itself is fine it was only a slight rattle when the engine was reved to about 3000 rpm.

thanks for the replies lads i was thinking that it wouldnt be worth a lot alrite, think ill open it myself just to see what happened and how it works.

to be honest i dont know, AFAIK its the orginal block out of the car.

keep it, and keep your eye out for cheap rods, pistons, bearings andover time buy them and try a rebuild yourself

id love to do it to a v6 or v8 , like they have on topgear
